The annual Waylon Madison Sauer Memorial Basketball Tournament is a 3v3 tournament which is held annually in the spring. This is a memorial tournament to memorialize the loss of an avid basketball enthusiast and athlete Waylon Madison Sauer. He loved to play and this tournament is something that both he would enjoy and personifies his love for the game. This event highlights bringing the community together and bringing people from all ages and backgrounds together to enjoy the game that Waylon loved so much.

We are asking local businesses and families for their support to help the MVRHS Class of 2027 raise funds for the 3rd Annual Waylon Madison Sauer Scholarship Fund by sponsoring the upcoming 3 v 3 basketball tournament in memory of Waylon on Sunday, March 29th, 2026. All proceeds collected, after minimal expenses, will go directly to the scholarship fund. Sponsorships will be accepted until March 13th.
